Folding Arm Awning Design Options
There are many stylish options available to ensure that a folding arm awning meets your needs and suits your application. Some of the options available include:
- A full fabric range to suit any decor and style of home. Fabrics available include acrylic or polyester. We are very particular about the fabrics we supply and only use the highest quality ranges.
- Cassetted Awnings these are a streamlined attractive option. The cassette protects the fabric and arms from the elements as the awning winds back into a stylish aluminium case. The cassette can be powder-coated to match existing paint finishes to blend the awning into the background while not in use. There is an additional cost for a cassetted awning, call us to find out more. Our options include low profile cassette that integrate perfectly with the facade of a building.
- Hood - the hood covers the top of the awning and still provides some protection to the arms and framework.
- Open (no hood)- a modern look that can be the choice for areas where protection is already provided by an eave for example, and because the componentry is not included for the hood the price is reduced.
- Conservatory Awning - normally remote control operated, conservatory awnings are a great option for a flexible solution to shade requirements. Install where existing framework is in place for example a deck, pergola, skylights etc to create shade when required.
- Pivot Arm Awning - Certain situations call for a pivot arm awning due to orientation to the sun, requirements for privacy or simply aesthetics. They are generally used as window coverings. A quality pivot arm awning will look fantastic and provide great sun protection whilst allowing sunlight to still filter through..
Operating options
- Motorised Awnings - get the shade you need with a single press of a button on a remote control for motorised awnings. There are some installation situations where you physically can't reach the awning for a manual operation (eg awning installed on a roof or over a pergola). And in other situations it is a preference to have a motorised awning, for example so that you don't need to go out in the elements to obtain the shade relief that you need. Operate the awning effortlessly and from within the comforts of your home.
- Manual operation - a geared crank ensures easy operation that is not difficult to wind. Colour options and variations in length of handles are available.
- Spring operation - gives you control of the height of the awning and you can secure using either a bolt system or clip option.
Folding Arm Awnings Accessories
- Remote controls - one touch control with fully programmed remote controls.
- Wind sensors - minimise the impact of sudden winds or weather events with a wind sensor that will automatically close your awning once the settings are reached.
Applications
Folding arm awnings can be used for domestic and commercial situations including back gardens, decks, shopfronts, above windows or doors.
